City of Angels

Imagine that you are walking down a narrow street in an old city. On the corner you see something that looks a lot like a jewelry store.

On the other side of the street, you can spot something that resembles a flower shop. Some of the buildings look old and abandoned. Others look like plazas.

When you turn the corner the street looks exactly the same, and there are at least hundreds of them.

The house of the Cool family is there, the Salvats house is there too.

It looks like a cozy neighborhood with a black and white cat on the corner. The only problem is that everybody is dead. You´re at the Recoleta cemetery.

We went to the cemetery to see the grave of Argentina´s Evita. Luckily, she was at home - in the City of Angels.

Apart from the quiet experience in Recoleta, Buenos Aires was buzzing.

Tango shows lighten up the crowdy streets and many markets, while Lisa and Daniel are filling their stomachs with real beef and red wine. We are not complaining!

Here´s a taste for you all:

Lisa in front of the main attraction, Caminito, in lively La Boca.

A statue of Argentinas national hero Diego Maradona - the third best player of all time after George Best and Pele - in the Boca Juniors stadium.

One of many tango shows in old San Telmo.

Noisy demonstrators filling the street in front of Palacio del Congreso - and our hostel. Nice!
